What is HACCP?

Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) is an internationally recognised systematic approach to food safety. It identifies, evaluates, and controls potential hazards throughout the food production process and is underpinned by seven principles:

7 principles of HACCP Certification

The importance of HACCP

As well as being a highly effective approach to pest control, many of our industry’s customers are legally bound by HACCP principles and proactively seek suppliers that also know, understand and conduct their services using the framework.

HACCP's focus on risk management, proactive measures, and documentation gives clients confidence that their pest issues will be addressed professionally and responsibly. It is an effective way of communicating a commitment to customer safety and quality assurance, as well as demonstrating compliance with regulation.

The importance of HACCP certification

While it takes knowledge, experience, and skill to be an effective pest controller, the tools are also key. HACCP certified products, such as Temprid SC, Responsar, Solfac EW, K-Othrine Flow, Maxforce Fusion and Maxforce Quantum, are intentionally and independently recognised for their performance and suitability for use in non-food zones.

Certification is not easy to achieve with product data sheets, allergy statements and more being scrutinised. They must prove they are a critical contributor to food safety and demonstrate that they support the integrity and safety of food as demanded by consumers, the industry and regulators.

But it’s not just the products that are proven to be highly effective. In gaining HACCP International certification, Envu as the manufacturer has proven it is proactive and dedicated to consumer food safety.

As a result, pest controllers using HACCP International approved products can be confident in the product's performance as well as suitability for application in non-food zones, and are well equipped to support the food industry in its mission to provide safe and nutritious food for consumers.

Please note that we will be transferring the registration of our products to our new legal entity and local authorities will require time to proceed with the transfer. In the meantime, our products and associated certificates will progressively transit from Bayer to the Envu brand. You may observe our company products with packaging that belong to either Envu or Bayer during this transition.
